A small project I've been working on since graduation this year. This project was something I finally got to do by myself outside of school and really put my skills and knowledge I've learned over the years to the test.
The sword, roses, and rocks are all completely hand painted in Substance Painter, the trees and bushes are made in SpeedTree, the sword is sculpted in ZBrush, and everything is rendered in UE5. I learned so much about different types of materials and rendering in Substance Designer and Painter, for example, I learned a lot about emissive textures and learned how to hand paint crystallized roses. I also made my first foliage assets in SpeedTree, which was really fun and I enjoyed learning the process a lot.
I also immersed myself more into lighting and rendering in UE5, and how to get my scene to look exactly how I wanted it to. It was a lot of trial and error but I'm very please with how this project turned out. I really hope to continue growing and learning more in each project I undertake. This project is high poly as I wanted it for a cinematic project, instead of a game prop.
